My Android Tablet

I recently bought an Android share notebook.

For a week I have used it then suddenly I cannot connect to my network.  A bit scary looking for an answer to my problem. Then I found this post, FIX OBTAINING IP ADDRESS ANDROID Wi-Fi PROBLEM,at last case is solved.

I enter this parameters to my Android Share Notebook:

IP ADDRESS: 192.168.1.253
GATEWAY: 192.168.1.1
NETMASK: 255.255.255.0
DNS1: 8.8.4.4
DNS2: 4.4.4.4 or 8.8.8.8

Here I first used 4.4.4.4 as my DNS2 but it works a bit slower(net connection is not that good) that is why I change it to 8.8.8.8.  So far so good.

It works 100% indeed!!!  Thanks for MHOTSPOT !

My Net Cafe is Purely for INTERNET SURFING

Since the introduction of  computers  the used of internet has been popular for gathering information and for communication.  But as time passes by the use of computers broaden into entertainment, like the introduction of games software.

Computers is expensive and not all people can afford to buy such device.  In my case I am giving my service to those who wanted to access such high tech form of communication that can assured my client that all are taken privately.  Mine is a PUBLIC CAFE that cater INTERNET SERVICE per hour.

Here I will give you some DISCUSSION why I chose INTERNET CAFE rather than a GAMING CAFE.

INTERNET CAFE
  • It is a cafe which is purely used for purpose of SURFING or BROWSING the INTERNET.  It can also used for downloading information or data, the like of MUSIC, VIDEO, MOVIES, etc.
  • In this cafe we used moderate quality which is not expensive and is low end computers but still good in quality.
  • The users are mostly students (PRIMARY, SECONDARY and TERTIARY) and professionals.

GAMING CAFE

  • These cafe are a place for gaming where customers comes only to play games or to compete with each other through multi-player.
  • Computers used here are high end computers which are quite expensive.
  • Should have good and high maintenance too.
  • The users are mostly kids or students or mostly below the age of 20.

Having to start my own NET CAFE I have to take precaution on this kind of a business.  As my technician told me in order to save and to look for the capital gain for this business start in a low bases first(HUWAG BIGLAAN ika nga). That is why I chose INTERNET CAFE rather than GAMING CAFE.

People here in my location prefer to go inside my Internet Cafe.  For them it is not noisy and they can concentrate doing their assignment, research and helps them doing various tasks such as sending email, chatting, etc.

I started this business with PHp100k as my beginning capital.  I have 5 units including my SERVER.

Only my SERVER is BRAND NEW

Just a piece of advice: YOU CAN USE OLD COMPUTERS BUT MAKE SURE IT STILL HAVE GOOD QUALITY.

HINT:

  • 4 UNITS are OLD COMPUTER but still in good quality
  • 5 CPU's are all BRAND NEW
  • 1 SERVER COMPUTER is BRAND NEW

Very economical.  I don't have any problem with my units/CPU.
I don't rent, I only pay for myDSL and electric bill.  So far so good.  I'm in my two(2) years in this business and planning to have my expansion next year.

Even though everyone starts to have their own computers, the need for quick surfing, printing, repairing, multi-gaming are fulfilled with these Cafe's.  Whether INTERNET CAFE or GAMING CAFE. these cafe plays a VITAL ROLE in our SOCIETY today.

Computer Shop Print Prices

Computer Shop Print Prices

Everyone here is asking how much are my printing prices at my Net Cafe.

Well to tell you honestly I have to change my price list.  I have copy the price list from INTERNET CAFE Blog.  For me this is the standard pricing for REGULAR DOCUMENT Printing Jobs.

Now, there might be people asking how/when we determine if a document with images falls under the 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 to whole graphics price. Here’s a guide, based on actual documents that our customers had printed here:

Document with 1 / 4 image / graphics

Document with 1/2 image / graphics

Document with 3/4 image / graphics

Document with whole page image / graphics

The one on the right are texts with WordArt or FontWork designs (we use OpenOffice here).

If the document has a table or chart or if the document was created through PowerPoint/Impress,
We charge them for documents with graphics, too.

Before anything else, we would like you to take note of the following that we considered before we set our prices:
  • Our internet cafe is located in a residential area. We’re not near any school, market or any area that brings in a lot of people. So, I adjust my prices.
  • For our printing/scanning and xerox, we are using a Canon Pixma MP258 3-in-1 Printer converted to Continuous Ink Supply System (CISS), pictured below:

SETTING UP for EXPANSION

SETTING UP for EXPANSION

SETTING UP for EXPANSION

I've found this on the web and I think I have to follow this kind of SET UP.  For sure it will be my SET UP A.

It is really hard to have an expansion if you don't have the people who can help you do this.

An Internet cafe is a good company to start and it can bring in some major revenue if you know how to run it well and have a technical person on your team.  For those of you wanted to have an INTERNET CAFE business follow this simple guidelines from ehow.com-set-up-internet-cafe

THE PREPARATION

THE PREPARATION

THE PREPARATION

No Pain. No Gain.

Oct. 12, 2010.  With the growth of the online industry and the influence of the internet in our daily lives, a lot of people are in need to be connected.

So I choose to open the Net Cafe Business.  For me this is the easiest way to earn money, for it is the most used technology nowadays.

Mind you it's no joke.  Business is always a business and it's serious.

For those of you wanted to have like this kind of business here is a guide that would help you.

HOW TO START YOUR OWN INTERNET CAFE BUSINESS:

  • Budget – An internet cafe with around 20 seats will push you back P700 to P1M in capital. Of course, the more seats, the more money you will need. If you don’t have the cash, you can find partners to pool in money. I believe that the optimum number of partners for this project will be 4. Expect an ROI (Return of Investment) of 1 to 2 years. Also, I would suggest against forming a business with your close friends. The chances of ruining your friendship are high. Just note that.
  • Location – Aside from the moolah, location is one of the KEY FACTORS FOR SUCCESS. Keywords to look for when scouting; near a school, heavy foot traffic, not too many competitors in the area. You should try to look for a place that’s easy to spot (from the customer's perspective, ok?). A good monthly rental is P15,000 to P25,000 a month, more than that and you’ll have to work double time for the return.
  • Hardware – Try to budget P25,000 to P35,000 per PC. Remember, I always tell potential entrepreneurs to “invest for the future”. Do not scrimp out on memory, processing power or video cards. The logic here is that a) okay, so you save a few bucks but your computers will be trashed in less than a year and b) you should have a faster PC than your competitors – it’s your “edge”. And hey, if you can get LCD monitors for all computers, do so! The cost savings on electricity will more than pay for itself.
  • Connection – again, a faster and decent connection in your cafe will be a key selling point. Don’t worry too much about marketing, if you have the best computers and the fastest connection in your area, Sherwood-OF-MOUTH will drive customers through YOUR door. It’s a fact. So try to get the best kbps package that you can afford. Also, if you have the money, you can always get another as a back-up in case your primary connection goes down.
  • Set-up – if you’re a techie, you can probably do the wiring and the setup of the routers and switches yourself. But if you can’t, there are professionals who can do it for you. If you can’t find one in your province or city, grab a copy of Buy&Sell or discreetly ask the tech guy at the PC shop where you bought your hardware if he can do a little moonlighting for your new shop.
  • Software – if you plan to start small, you don’t have to pay to install MMORPGs. The installers are free. Just tell me if you need it delivered to your new shop and I’ll get the Sales boys on it right away. For office applications, openoffice is free and mimics Micro$oft. For a good, free billing solution, try handycafe or Cafe Manila (I used cafe Manila)
  • Other services – Food is always a good extra source of income. Check out my post on Gamer Food 101and you’ll see what gamers need and want. Printing, Fax and Xerox (photocopying) are other good sources of supplementary revenue.
  • Staff – If you’ve formed a partnership, take turns with your partners manning the shop. Just make a schedule. If you’re going to hire someone, hire someone you can trust. You have to set “check and balance” systems (such as an advance billing system) to avoid fraud and theft. It may be tempting to hire an avid gamer to staff your shop but if he has friends and he lets them play for free… you know what that will bring you. Speaking of free play, tell your all your friends that you can’t allow them to play for free. It IS a business after all. But tell them you can give them a discount. If they really are your friends, they’ll understand.

My NetCafe

Did You Know?
The concept and name, Cybercafé, was invented at the beginning of 1994
by Ivan Pope. Having a duty to organize an Internet event for an arts weekend
at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London, Pope wrote a special
proposal giving the idea of a café with Internet access from the tables.
Cafe `Cyberia` started Internet cafe history. It was opened in London
on September 1st, 1994. The founder of the first Internet cafe, Eva Pascoe,
was working on her PhD at the time when she got the idea to connect sipping
coffee at one of coffee shops near the City University of London and web surfing.
